computer won't shut down

recently installed Quicken 2005 deluxe. it shut down
properly first time. next day, comuter won't shut down.
it's in a circle restarting itself after shut down. I
uninstalled Quicken 2005 deluxe to no avail. it will shut
down when I start it up in safe mode, but not regular
mode. please help!

If you have an Anti-virus program feature loading at boot try
disabling that feature.

If no help try StartRun and enter Msconfig. Under Startup you may
find something running at boot from Quicken or an AV program.
Disable it and see if that corrects it. If so and it's an AV program
also disable that feature from within the program. If it's Quicken
then try Start Run and enter Msinfo32. Open Software the select
Startup. If you see a Quicken entry it will tell you where it starts
so you can remove it. Look in the
C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp folder first.

Quicken does sometimes have a feature loading at boot, if you
re-install it go into the program and disable it. The un-install may
not have deleted that feature completely.
