Minimum of 512 MB RAM and 800 Mhz processor with at least a 64MB video card.

More, of course, would be better. What are the specs of the machine in
question?

All I really need is something that WORKS. I get script errors trying to
print data from Explorer 6 or from e-mails in Outlook Express.
Example = URL Res//C:\windows\system\SHDOCLC/preview.dlg
line 508
char 1
permission denied
code 0
Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Win Me works so if you are having problems there is something wrong with
your system (not that upgrading to a newer supported operating system
isn't a sensible strategy). Have you read KB293176 "Cannot Print from
Internet Explorer" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=293176) which
although mentioning only IE5.5 the solution can also apply to IE6.
Another possible solution would be to run the Internet Explorer repair
tool (Win IE closed, go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs, select
"Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1" click Add/Remove and then select
"Repair Internet Explorer" and click OK)

Other KBs that might apply include KB303360 "Error Message When You Print
from Internet Explorer: Printing Error: The Printer Cannot Be Found"
(http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=303360) and KB303486 "Error Message
When You Attempt to Print a Web Page: An Error Has Occurred in the Script
on This Page" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303486). Whilst you
probably aren't using a Postscript printer you might want to see what the
effect, if any, of removing any headers and footers when printing might
be. There is also KB811165 "Cannot Print in Internet Explorer if Surfairy
Is Installed" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811165) which although
targeted at those running XP might just also apply to Win Me.

Indeed, but as Mike already outlined, 'ME works" and it can easily be fixed
following his advice, step by step. H.

I didn't say that you should remove IE6 SP1, instead I suggested you
REPAIR it and gave the instructions on how to do this. Perhaps you were
confused by this requiring you to access the IE6 repair screen via
Add/Remove Programs. Follow the steps in my previous post and you should
be able to repair IE6 SP1. Regrettably I can't guarantee that will fix
your problem but is certainly worth trying as it costs nothing.

Best of luck,
