Default Modem not working

While trying to remove a Virus/Trojan from my computer
which has Windows 98 Second Edition OS, I somehow deleted
a WinModem File, 265699A3cctry.dll. Now my Modem will not
function.

What can I do?

Thank you,

Dale

1. Delete the modem via
/ start / settings / control panel / system / device manager
Just highlight the modem and hit the Remove button.
2. Reboot
3. The PC will autodetect "new hardware" and prompt
you to insert the modem software CD and load the
correct drivers.

If you don't have the software to you modem then try

this.(but make shure you know the correct name for your
modem first). Click MyComputer Icon(or click START
Settings then controlpanel)Click control panel then click
add hardware(or add/remove hardware) and let it auto
detect,if it can't find it go back into controlpane and
click modem. Manule selections and auto dection may/or
will use your win98 SE CD.
