No, you will have to clean install. More important though is that I don't
think that a PC currently running Win Me is going to run very Vista very well if at all. Vista really needs lots of oomph, ideally 2GB or more of RAM and a decent processor such as a dual core as well as a recent video card, perhaps a maximum of two years old if you are going to enjoy the delights (eye candy) that is Aero (this is the Vista graphics interface). -- Mike Maltby Lynn wrote: Can I upgrade from Windows ME to Vista? You should also consider, if a lot of your software is as old as your Me, it
will probably not be Vista compatible. The same can be said for your hardware, like your printer. Heirloom, old and sticking with XP "Mike M" wrote in message ... No, you will have to clean install. Look at PcLinux as a possible operating system upgrade solution, which is an easy to use Linux. The community is very helpful. Windows 2000 is a friendly upgrade to ME. |
