Disable network connection in Win98/Me
Hi all, I'm looking for a way to programmatically disable the network connection in Win98/Me (and later restore it again), the equivalent (in Win 2k/xp) to right click on the connection - disable. I have no problem for 2k/xp, as MS has utils for that and there are also programming components that do the job. But for 98 ? A solution I came up with is to change the routing table (ROUTE DELETE). This works for, say, cutting the internet access. Problem is that it won't let you cut the route for the local network. Eg. if the machine's IP is 192.168.0.22 / 255.255.255.0 you're not allowed to delete the 192.168.0.0/255.255.2550 route. Any ideas ? I've done a lot of googling, to no results :-( -- Dimitris Andrakakis ATES Developer, Interfranchise S.A. |
