How-to Cascade "My Pictures" Under SendTo Option
I have thousands of pictures categorized under "My Pictures" (into
folders and sub-folders and sub-sub-folders). Is there any way of adding an option to SendTo so that I can get "My Pictures" to cascade open and display the folders and sub-folders?? I have tried adding a shortcut to "My Pictures" into the SendTo folder but it does not cascade open. Thanks. Barb |

You need to create a New Folder in the SendTo folder - and put shortcuts to
all your subfolders into it. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2005, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's wrote in message oups.com... Thanks. I was hoping there was an easier way of doing that. I've got
lots of folders with subfolders that sometimes change. :BIG SIGH: Thanks. Barbara |

The closest I have to what you want is the ancient Win95 Powertoy,
SendtoX. It doesn't cascade but at least you can browse and store the last twenty recently used folders. A little about it he http://www.aumha.org/a/powertoy.htm You may find some more up to date SendTo enhancements with a search. ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/index.html In microsoft.public.windowsme.software, wrote: I have thousands of pictures categorized under "My Pictures" (into folders and sub-folders and sub-sub-folders). I use RegSeeker, this gives the option to add 'Copy to', and 'Move to', to the right-click menu. Right-click a file, select 'Move to', and a 'Folder tree' appears, so you can browse to the folder you wish to move the file to. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it is a very handy addition, and it's free! Download he http://www.webattack.com/get/regseeker.shtml (You'll find the option under 'Tweaks') HTH George Gee * has posted this message: I have thousands of pictures categorized under "My Pictures" (into folders and sub-folders and sub-sub-folders). Thanks, George. I tried that, based on your recommendation. I wasn't
too impressed. It basically gives me the same functionality that I get from the PowerToys using the "send to any folder" command. I'm really wanting the sliding/cascading effect without all the "clicking". I think I'm probably going to have to add the actual folders and subfolders to the send-to folder, just as Noel suggested. That gives me close to the functionality that I'm looking for. Thanks, guys. Barbara |

You can try here and look at the 9 hits for "sendto".
Shell Extension City: http://shellcity.net/ They may be all variations of the PowerToy but could be worth a look. ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/index.html In microsoft.public.windowsme.software, wrote: Thanks, George.
