Default network setup wizard problem!

i have installed a wireless network card on my girlfriends
lapt top running windows me, i also intsalled a card on my
laptop running win xp. it has set up fine on my laptop(xp)
but when i run the network setup wizard on her laptop (me)
i get 3 steps in and i get the blue screen of death! the
message says

"VSERVER (01) + 00004d7d ERROR : oe : 0028 : c15488bd "
c15485bd
(it might be the lower c number, i cant read my writing
lol)
since the instalation of the card her cpu wont display web
pages, it says its connected, and i have pinged it
sucesfully! the modem is a usb device and worked fine
before i installed the card. it still works on my laptop,
and used to on hers. i seem to get a responce when both
cards are on but cant find any cpu on the network from
either machine, any ideas?
regards Ben
