Windows ME trouble, please help?

My computer needs reformatting, but I cant get any help
from microsoft without paying for support, and if i could
afford to pay for support, i wouldnt be running ME. I have
about 700Mhz processesor and 64mb ram, Im not very tech
savvy though.

I have instructions on how to reformat the hard drive, but
i dont want to lose all my dialup settings and stuff. How
can i save my settings, then reformat, and them put the
settings back on again? Please email me, this computer has
been messing up for too long, i would be really gratefull
for just a quick email or anything.

is it just your dial up settings you are trying to save, or is it your
email, and other personal information on the computer. if it is just
your dial up settings, you should be able to talk to your internet
provider and they will generally help you set that up after you format
and reinstall everything
