Default Tapisrv

I frequently get the window - Tapisrv has performed an
illegal operation, etc. etc.
I was able to find the program - start, find, file - but I
cannot open it and I don't want to delete until I know
what it is.
Hope someone can help me.

When you get an "illegal operation" error message, click the "Details" button, and
post back with the exact details word for word, up to but not including the memory
registers; and also include what you are doing when it occurs.

You might try the Resolution listed in this article:

Details - Tapisrv caused an invalid page fault in module
KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff9dfff.

It has happened when I was playing Solitaire and also when
the computer is idle.

Hope this helps.

Update your anti-virus app and then run a full-system virus scan.

Use CWShredder, the CoolWeb removal tool, available he

http://aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Close all browser windows and open apps, start CWShredder and click the Fix button.

In addition, install Ad-Aware 6 free edition, start it, click its 'Check for
Updates' link in the app to install updates, then use it to scan your system, and
remove what it finds.

Install, update and run SpyBot Search & Destroy, scan your system, and then remove
the items in RED only! Do not change the default settings for the program.
