Default win98SE & belkin card

Hi all,
I have a Dell Latitude XPI CD 166st laptop with 48mb of memory & a 514mb
hard drive with win98se.
I have previously had a Dell Latitude XPI CD 150st laptop with 48mb of
memory & a 514mb hard drive.
Now,when I used the 150st laptop with my belkin usb pcmcia card,it worked
alright.
Now,when I try inserting the card into my 166st laptop, the computer freezes
& I have re-installed win98se & even got the updates from the update page.
what could be the problem?
more info can be posted, cause I'm sure you guys will need it Or just e-mail
me for system configuration etc.
all help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
