Does the drive show in the Device Manager?
Does the drive show in Windows Explorer?
Do other disks in the drive display their contents?
What format is the DVD and what are the file sizes?

Your problem could be the file size. Whilst Win Me's FAT32 filing system
can handle files up to 4GB, 2GB should be taken as the realistic maximum.
Try with a DVD that doesn't contain files 2GB. XP's NTFS filing system
has no such file size limitation.
