strange startup message?
When booting the Windows 98me machine I get the following message :
Memory_card on 'Npidc9e7a' (z What does this mean? I don't have any memory card or a Z drive. It seems to happen intermittently. When it does occur I seem to lose access to my network printer and I get the the following message: Unable to find network name in folder Any answers out there? |

Here's an educated guess: Your printer has a built-in memory card reader, and your computer (is it running Windows 98 or Windows Me?) is trying to map a network drive (drive letter Z) to the memory card reader. When the printer is inaccessible, the mapping fails, so you get the strange startup message. Go to My Computer.
