Default Successfully Run OLD Software on OLD OEM Win98SE Laptop?

Hi,

I have a couple of software programs that were once installed on my Win95
desktop that I can give to my sister if they'll run okay on a Win98SE laptop
(new in 2000). The laptop *appears* to meet the system requirements of the
software. See laptop specs and software system requirements below.

I feel that *desktops* are the target of the system requirements printed on
the side of software packages and that perhaps laptops don't apply. Is my
thinking correct or should I go for it and install the software? If I
shouldn't install these on the laptop, does anyone know if they will run
okay on a 2800MHz WinXP Pro machine? Maybe using Compatibility Mode?

Thanks for any insight you can share.
Cheryl

Specs to run a program are just that--there's no difference between a laptop
and a computer as far as that goes.
