i went to watch a movie and a message came up saying "Windows Media Player
cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection
between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated
driver for your video card."

It- would be available from the makers
Whoever made the device would be the one to get the drivres from.
If you cannot find details of your display card, 'everest Home edition'
(google is your friend) is a program that will inform you of the model. then
you can get the latest drivers from the manufacturers web site,
or ask again with more detail if the manufacturer has pulled the pin on
supporting that model

Is this in W98? I thought only XP+ did those things. Anyway, when you can't
find a driver, you can always use VLC to play that DVD.

Then you're posting in the wrong group. This one's for Win98 problems.
You want microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, or one of the other
microsoft.public.windowsxp.* groups. You're FAR more likely to find
folks that know how to fix your problem there.
