Don't worry, I won't randomly remove components. Took
some time but was able to figure out what p2esocks was.
Funny it did not appear til an earlier fix that I tried in
this thread?

Tried SCANREG /FIX, a reboot and ie6setup.exe in safe mode
but I get "some components could not be installed" or a
msg very similar when I try?

Do you think there is still bugs in my computer or could
it be another problem?

-----Original Message-----
randomly removing components is NOT a good idea!

p2esocks_1014 however does appear to be associated with

some form of spyware
(although I've been unable to find out exactly what - ah,

gotcha! - it's a
porn diallerg)

Have you tried installing the update while in Safe Mode?
Try a SCANREG /FIX first, then reboot (again) to Safe

Mode and install
from there

Ah - and I was just going to post......g

Never mind - when you get back (I hope you have a good time!), come back
here, with preferably a brief resume of the history so far (because my own
is rather ephemeral), and we'll pick up where we left off (you never know -
I may have learnt a few new tricks in the meantime!)

Enjoy your break.
