Default 2 Monitors (wrong)

With no Monitor showing in / Device Manager
on reboot this Win98SE P4 detects and
instals not one but two Default Monitors.
What does this say about current system
configuration?

It says that your monitor or your BIOS is not completely
plug and play compatible.

Boot in safe mode and remove ALL monitor entries in device manager. Reboot
in normal mode and let Windows redetect the monitor.
