Default screen size??

Win 98se, nvidia riva tnt2 model 64, 17" monitor.

Had a "glitch" in my system. Had to reload driver for video card. Switched
monitors also(both 17").

Now whenever I set resolution to 800x600p the screen view is small and
oblong and the setting on the monitor show horizontal alignment @ 100%..
When I change it to 640x480p the desktop fills the screen but any other
screens I open or way out of range of the screen.

Suggestions please,
L.

From your description I would think it is vertical size (height) not
horizontal alignment that should be adjusted.

Look for a setting for refresh rate under the advanced option of the display
applet, and try different settings with different monitor adjustments.

Sorry but it's the horizontal adjustment that's messed up, squeezed
together.
When system/Windows first starts to open, the full screen is taken up so I'm
assumming when the driver kicks in that's when the screen size goes "nuts".
The screen view leave ~ 3 inches on each side and none on top/bottom.
