Among many ways, one might be / start / run / SFC.EXE = System File Checker set to restore from the Win98 CD c:\windows\fonts\*.* -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) Thanks Don.. That didn't help. I ran SFC's scan feature and it found no corrupt files. Then I tried a restore of c:\windows\fonts\*.* but SFC said "filename has an invalid character. While I was browsing thru the Fonts, I looked at the SYSTEM font file and it looked fine. Is there a setting somewhere which specifies which font is used by default? Thanks PeterL |
