Post Set Up Problem
Hi,
My problem was that after reinstalling Wins 98 edition 1 with the product key, I was prompted to "Select user name" and "password". The pop up window was titled "Enter Password". HOwever, there wasn't any user name for me to select and clicking at the password text box doesn't allow to type in anything at all. I tried clicking cancel and the screen just went blank with the brand logo at the background. It then reads as an illegal operation and needs to be shut down. Please help me with this problem. Thanks. I know the previous pass word and user name but there was no data written in the pop up. |

Find (in DOS) and delete all old password files c:\Windows\*.PWL then restart and see if Windows starts normally. All right, Mr Phillipson, I will give a shot on that and if I still can't, I
will revert back to you as soon as I can. Thanks.
