Default upgraded to Media player 9 trouble

This is my first upgrade for media player from Win98SE to a download
yesterday to media player 9. Yesterday all was well (first day of using the
program). Today with the upgrade, when I copy a CD the music just stalls or
skips over and again. I turned back the sound quality setting, with no
change.

error : WMPLAYER caused an invalid page fault in module DRMV2CLT.DLL at
17f:09272cd8. Registers: ETC...

Ideas?

Thankx, Gayle
