Default Can anyone please advise me?

I recently formatted C drive with the intention of
starting again from scratch and reloading windows 98. I
began the set up process and only realised at thje point
where i was asked for the product key that I have lost
it, somehow somewhere. I need to know how to remove this
half loaded windows 98 from my computer. Can any one help
please?

If you've already formatted the drive, it's history. You can "remove" the
half loaded windows by reformatting the drive again. But you're going to
have to find that product key, or if that doesn't work, probably buy a new
disk on eBay, AFAIK.

If you formatted the drive, removing the "half loaded windows 98" will =
not help bring the old Windows back. If you can prove you have a legit =
CD MS may provide you with a new PK even if it's OEM.
=20
MS has agreed to issue OEM product keys since the OEMs will not. =
Contact Microsoft at: 1 800 642-7676. They will issue retail and OEM =
product keys after verifying data located on the W98 CD.
