Default Do you want to format it now???

"The disk in drive A: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now"?

Anyone know why I would be getting this message in Windows 98?
I get the message on any floppy disk I try to use in normal Win98 mode.

The floppy drive works fine when I'm in 'safemode', or 'Booting' from it on
the same computer.

The floppies also work on other computers.

Thx
