Minor announcement.... ;)
"webster72n" wrote in message ... Too late for that, Steve, already extinguished the thing and went back with Avast, which I like much better anyway. AVG kept telling me to register, because my time was up. Might I have been downloading the wrong version? It was supposed to be 'free'. Quite possible? Do not click the Premium options anywhere. Get AVG Free AV from http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe Install AVG without the option to scan email, that choice is offered at the point of Custom install. -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. MAIL. Good job too, I answered your text and it said it failed to send then a few
minutes later it went, silly thing g This is my first visit today and the groups gone mad now your back g still got to finish reading the thread but as for Windows 7 I've played with it for a while but there were a couple of things that I do that wouldn't work in it and as the Beta is only valid until August and there's no way I can buy it when it comes out, only just got Vista, I've decided to take it off the machine and go back to Vista full time, although I'll keep watching the forum I belong to with regards the system g It's so good to have you back, lets hope it lasts you're expensive on mobile when you're not on the same network g Joan -- Joan Archer http://www.freewebs.com/crossstitcher http://lachsoft.com/photogallery "Noel Paton" wrote in message ... 8 months life for an early Beta? - that's longer than usual, IIRC.... maybe

OMG, I feel like I'm back at my fortieth high school reunion! All because I
was browsing the DTS groups this AM, which I now do perhaps twice a month, when I'm good, and found a recent question Noel Paton, which Mike Maltby answered. In response, I'm led to the Google News accounts (for my first adventure there), where Google lets me subscribe, but not post, at least not today. Since my ancient WinME machine is retired now and not internet-capable (yet), here I am under XP SP3, where I see most, if not all, of the famous old MS WinME names, with whom I used to spend 2-12 hours a day, seven days a week, during 2000-2006. Be still my beating heart! Those times, when we all killed dragons daily, with our right hands, while strangling trolls with any hands left over, were some of my most interesting and enjoyable times. You were just great to me, and I miss you dearly. People I meet today are simply astonished that I was a part of such comradery, including a colleague in Tasmania, on the opposite side of our planet. So I wish all of you an excellent new year, esp. Messrs. Noel Paton and Mike Maltby, who were perhaps our best WinME commenters, among the dozen or so regular significant contributors. I think of Alex Nichol almost every month. Best to everyone, Jack E.
