No MP# Sound WIn98SE

I have no sound in Windows Media Player (V9). You can see the eq bars
moving but nothing else. Seems to be only on mp3's. Sound from the cd
player works fine with music CD's so the speakers are hooked up right.
There is no onboard sound to disable on the mb. Sound card is a Sound
Blaster 16. I have the latest SB drivers
MB is an older P11 500 ALI.

Any ideas

It is possible to have CD volume working and other sources muted in there.

Make sure you didn't hit the little mute button in WMP.
I have done that.
Sometimes you have to go into options and reset file types.

is. I'm kinda leaning toward codecs or something of that nature, though
the drivers for the cd player work fine. dunno
