Can only boot in safe mode after Hardware wizard failed.
I was doing a reinstall of a modem using the Insatl New Hardware Wizard which
failed to complete. Now I can only reboot in safe mode. Atempts at normal boot result in the system rebooting itself and going to safe mode. I have had a similar problem when I install a printer on a different PC and gaave up and reformated the hard drive. Anyone have an idea? |

Boot to Safe Mode
Right click MyComputer, click Properties Device Manager tab. Remove any/all instances of the modem and close out. Click Start Settings Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall anything related to the modem. Close out and shut down. Remove the modem and reboot. Does the machine boot normally? -- Brian A.
