Default no USB port avail....

I installed a Z-33 lexmark printer and no USB port was avail. to select,
only COM1, COM2, LPT1 and plot to FILE.
The way that I do was:
first run the setup (dowloaded from lexmark.com)
intalled and wait for the setup to ask me to connect the printer
(USB cable)
connect the cable and the machine found new hardware
setup finish and automatically the "file" option was selected in the
port selection, no USB port avail.
What can I do?

thanks,
Ivan
