Upgrade to Win98se from Win98fe
In the Widows directory, change all of the *.ini to *.in1
(so that they can be changed back if problems occur) and *.exe to *.ini (so thay they can be changed back if problems occur). You should then be able to "fool" Windows into installing the upgrade without installing from scratch.
