Boot from ATAPI CD-Rom failure

I get the above msg when I try to start up my pc,
then "Disk boot failure, insert system disk & press enter"

I don;t have a system disk so what do I do?

Did you change the BIOS for some reason to boot from the CD ROM drive?

If so, change it back to boot from the hard drive.

No I didn't, BIOS says it is set to boot from my HD

I'm not certain of the relevance since the message "Disk boot failure" was
referring to your hard disk. There can be a number of reasons for this
message ranging from a "bad" or damaged hard disk or file corruption
and/or loss of certain files required during the boot process.
