cd drive not recognizing commercial cds but reads burned ones fine
I have a Dell Dimension 4100 running ME. Last year my hard drive
crashed and I had to replace it. Ever since then, my computer will not read or recognize any commercial cds (data or music) but will read all cds I've burned (and will still burn new ones). The cd drive I have is a LG CED-8120B CD-R/RW Drive. Any help would be much appreciated - I've called Dell support numerous times but they don't have a clue. Thanks in advance. |

This problem is driving me crazy. I did another test this morning - it is
so weird. My cd drive will read/recognize ANY CDR, regardless of whether or not I created it. Just not regular cds. "Sharon V" wrote in message ... I have a Dell Dimension 4100 running ME.
