TO LISA
Hi Lisa, I was going through reading messages, waiting for
someone to answer my post, but guess not. So since I have had this problem I will share what I learned by reading some of the other posts in Multimedia. First they repeat over and over here to uninstall all of your sound devices. So go to "My Computer" icon on desktop, and right click on it. Then go all the way to the bottom and click on "properties" at the bottom. That will take you to "System Properties", click on "Device Manager" Then go to "Sound, video, and game controllers" and remove all devices under that, the whole thing will be gone. Then restart your pc and it should load the appropriate drivers. Now, that didn't work for me the first time, but it didn't hurt a thing. I have read many posts where it has solved the problem. I personally, didn't have a clue what kind of sound card I had, but I went to Intel.com and searched under downloads and found one and it helped me identify my sound card. You just have to read a little and you will be surprised what you can learn. I know it wasn't much, and I don't know anything myself, but I figured I could at least take a minute to try to share the little I do know with you. Sorry I am the only response you got. I know the feeling. Good Luck and hope you already have sound! Gypsy .. |
