1) you have no control over the content of your own email any more
2) it's a scam - they're being paid for the spam you send out
3) people don't wan the crap
4) you have no control
5) it breaks things
6) it's associated with a number of dubious (not to say malware) sites.
7) you have no control
8) It breaks other things

Did I mention? - you have no control!

That's ok, Heather, we're on your side
I didn't mean to start an avalanche.
Just wanted to warn some friends, who offered 'it' to me.
Hope that calms the waters.

Harry.

Now.....how do I put that tactfully to those that use it.....shudder!!

"This email is being returned because the recipient uses plain text

Since like yourself I read all mail in plain text I don't really know or
care what crap gets sent as html as I never see it. OK, very occasionally
I'll view a specific e-mail using html and even perhaps allow it to
connect to the net so as to display an image but only ever for certain
known and trusted senders where the html and images serve a real purpose.
I know who these senders are but even then only switch to html if it is
obvious from the plain text that I'm missing something by not switching to
html.

I nearly lost control tonight
I had to RA to a client's machine (Remote Assistance) - and they couldn't
send me the necessary invite. It took four attempts to get it right (during
which I discovered that said client used Incredimail) - and when I wanted to
send myself a file at the end, it took 25 minutes just to persuade the
blasted application to attach the right file to the email!!
GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!! - OK, it was dialup, and over an RA link, but there's
limits to even my patience!

Not to worry, Heather, she probably doesn't know who they are.
I made it a rule, never to reveal (quote) the source of my info by name
outside of this ng. What would be the point?
Hope you had sweet dreams.

Harry.

Hey Harry,
Just a note, belated at best.............a Google search for
"Incredimail Problems" rendered 212,000 hits and they run the gamut from
"having a hangnail" to "having an anal tonsilectomy....without anesthetic."
