Well for saying that Wednesday was going to be the hottest I don't
think it happened in my neck of the wood g it was sunny and hot but
I think the couple of days before had been hotter, John said it tried
to rain late on when he was out checking the pigs.

Today is just dull no sun slight breeze and Johns just come back from
getting hay and complained it's hot g I don't think so but he
reckons we want a good downpour to clear the air, whether it will
happen remains to be seen g

Not sure when Heather is back from holiday but I don't think it will
be much longer.

I've been told I look better since giving up but I don't feel it,
which is probably due to my other problems, no way would I be able to
do any walking as such, I think because my spine has collapsed in
several places everything inside is now squashed up too much g

It's still boiling here in London Joan just as it was yesterday and the
day before. Phew!!!

Still very hot and sunny here, Joan - although we had a cracker of a (brief)
thunderstorm here at 2 a.m. (just as I was about to go to bed ).

Humidity is high - which makes it feel hotter than yesterday. Yesterday had
a breeze, which reduced the apparent temperature from the day before's
sweltering heat.

I'm off for a wander down the road in a minute - NOT to the pub! - for some
fresh air.

Haven't seen any lately, Joan!

See we had it hottest in the country here? I've done a few walks
lately - up the hill and along the Cotswold Way apiece, then down the
other hill. I've done it no trouble several times - and it's been
hot! But yesterday I went, steamed up the hill, had to stop and catch
my breath twice. Then started along the Way and, half way along,
started feeling I might get heat stroke. For about the last 2 or 3
miles my jeans were chafing - it got to be agony!

Hi Mike, I thought it would be bad in London, it usually is, so I hope you
are managing to cope with it.

Can you send some down here g hasn't been a glimmer of sun as yet, and
it's nowhere near as hot as it was at the beginning of the week.

John said he thought he had heard thunder in the very far distance last
night but I didn't g

Wander down the road - fresh air - I bet the pub comes in the equation
along the way vbg

Thanks Joan,

The heat isn't helping my breathing but otherwise seem to be OK.

As it happened, it did...but not until much later
I got a phone call just after I wrote that, and an emergency operation on a
PC was called for - so spent the afternoon deciphering cryptic error
messages, trying to get a Fax server stable....the next few days will tell.
couple of swifties alter, went to pick up a printer for
test/repair/disposal..... just playing with it now.
