cannot access secured sites on Internet Explorer

The operating system I have on my desktop is Windows ME. A few days back, all
of a sudden I could not access secured sites on Internet Explorer. I can
access most of the sites on IE but cannot access few such as hotmail.com ,
https://my.sabre.com(used for my work), etc. I can use other browsers such as
Mozilla Firefox or Opera to access all the sites. But I do need IE because
MySabre which I use for my work is most compatible with IE. Right now I
cannot access that website at all on IE. it gives me the page, This page
cannot be diaplyed.

Any suggestions please as to what I can do to repair this. Thanks. All
responses are appreciated.

Give this a shot. Go to Start Run type in

command
Click OK

At the Command Prompt, type in the following (or copy and paste each
command) pressing Enter after *each* line

regsvr32.exe softpub.dll
regsvr32.exe wintrust.dll
regsvr32.exe initpki.dll
regsvr32.exe dssenh.dll
regsvr32.exe rsaenh.dll
regsvr32.exe schannel.dll
regsvr32.exe cryptdlg.dll

Now type exit and press Enter to close the Command window
Restart the system and see if the issue is resolved.
If not, suggest booting to Safe Mode and then repair Internet Explorer:
