Windows 98 SE wont finish setup

I formatted my harddrive and started installing windows
98 SE everything goes fine until i get to the final step
after it restarts my computer. When I get to installing
plug or play devices, a blue screen pops up and says A
fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:FF02847B The
current application will be terminated. It just freezes
and I dont know what to do.

Try again at least a couple of times. Modern fast
CPUs have extra trouble installing Win98 (the NDIS
fix problem) usually crapping out at the first or second
reboot. In my case installation was completed on only
about the fifth attempt.

Remove or disable unneeded hardware. It can be added later when Windows is
up and running.
