Default Help! Cannot access 5 1/4" Floppy on Win98SE TIA

I have some old 5 1/4" diskettes that I needed to access.

I installed the floppy drive as drive B. I set the BIOS to reflect
the install.

Win98SE does not see the floppy. However, if I boot with the Win98SE
startup diskette into DOS, I can see and use the floppy drive.

What setting am I missing to access the floppy from Windows?

TIA

Joe

Windows probably just isn't looking for it.

Insure Control Panel/System - Performance Tab - File System button - Floppy
Disk tab - checkbox is checked might do it.

Thanks, but unfortunately that was not the problem. The checkbox was
already checked.
