More likely to be the monitor than the video card.
Check to see if there is something that may cause interference in vicinity of the monitor like a fluorescent light. Typical, you can disable onboard video in BIOS -- Jon Hildrum DTS MVP www.hildrum.com "steve" wrote in message news:3_1151880_aa7c4d742836a6530be7166b5e019bfa@wi ndowsforumz.com... Hi, Helping out a friend running an older Dell (dont' know model #) and Win98. The screen flickers badly, and only stops flickering after the computer is warmed up (?). I am thinking of putting in a cheap video card to fix it. Question: The current video circuit is on motherboard, can you just put in a video card, and if so, how to switch to it?
