How do I save old Outlook Express and Favorites before clean install?
To try and fix some functionality problems with a Video editing program, I'm
contemplating doing a clean install of Win98SE. But, I don't want to lose old messages in Outlook Express and Favorites in Explorer. How do I save these to be inserted into the new install of Win98SE? Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Running a PIII 550mhz, IBM 300PL if it makes a difference. Thanks for all input. |

Do a find on *.dbx and copy all files to your back up medium. Do the same
with the favorites folder. You might want the address book (*.wab) also. For information on installing W98, go to: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Doc" wrote in message ink.net...
