Default Software to use USB memory card with Windows ME

Does anyone know if Microsoft has a download in order to
actvate the USB as another drive, i.e. to use a USB memory
card. My IT at work says Windows 98, 2000 and NT have it
but NOT ME?

WinMe contains native, that is, built in, support for USB. If additional
specific drivers are required for your hardware then these will need to be
supplied by the hardware manufacturer.

Neither of the two USB memory cards that I have purchased
