I think my hard drive has been wiped clean. Does anyone
know if there is a website where I can download a recovery
disk ? Thanks

Fred,

Not sure what you mean by a recovery disk. You can download the image of a
boot floppy from www.bootdisk.com but you cannot legally download a copy of
Win Me unless you are a subscriber to MSDN and buying a copy on eBay would be
many times cheaper than buying a year's subscription. It is just possible
that some OEMs make available for download images of their recovery CDs for
use with their machines but I have never heard of any that in fact do so.

Recovery disk for what? Operating system recovery? Data
recovery? Do you want to restore your operating system or
retrieve your personal data? I can tell you now if its
your data you need, it's going to be expensive to recover
if you changed anything since the Wipeout. Otherwise you
can try searching online for free downloads, file
restoration, but beware if the programs does not work then
you have to go into dos and manually restore your files
