Anyone noticed any difference with Vista SP1? Yet to install it here.

LOTS, from speeding up the networking and system, to complete failures
depending upon the system. The NET is full of articles devoted to these
issues.

It might be better to wait until Microsoft creates the fixes [couple more
months of updates] to the Service Pack before installing it.

Thanks, think I will hold off on installing it, though 937287 loaded ok
for me.
I have automatic installs of these updates turned off, does Microsoft
enforce them on you after so long?

Not presently. Microsoft usually continues to support the RTM/OEM versions
for several months after releasing a service pack, largely due to corporate
environments where IT may not want to disturb the corporation's network
until Microsoft releases fixes to the critical errors [or at least most of
them] within the Service Pack.

Microsoft WILL put out a Notice when it ends support for non-upgraded
systems.
