When booting up Win 98, I get a System.INI message

When booting up Win 98, I get a message that
says "System.INI, need to run Windows setup again to find
the file." Then the machine shuts down on me. I cannot
find the old Win 98 Startup disks. Any ideas?

Hi Bill,
Re-start your machine, and hold down the CTRL key until you see a boot menu.
Select "Command Prompt Only". At the Command Prompt type:
scanreg /restore and hit Enter. (That is scanregspace/restore).
Select a previous Registry from when the machine was working correctly and
restore it, and then re-boot. SYSTEM.INI is one of the files scanreg
/restore replaces for you.
