Default Right Click Menu Disappeared

Harry, if you want to play games - fine.

But if you really want to be constructive and do some serious checking - and
you don't have a spare mouse to swap-out with - then open the Mouse icon in
Control Panel and check the mouse buttons there. And if your still not
convinced, then transpose the left and right buttons using the test utility
and see if the 'fault' moves with it.

Then buy a new mouse. Just don't mess us around.

Mart

I'm glad it's 'that' simple, H, but still cannot understand there were no
other signs to verify that condition. Thanks a million for your effective
intervention.

Harry.

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs. Blocking out the scenery, messing my
mind.....oh, wrong sign, sorry. How many signs do you need, Harry? Right
click don't work.....

I like your current hair colour better, but the right click on the
recycle bin refers to the desktop items in the taskbar and when I
right-click on the recycle bin, the different options for handling it
come up.
Not anymore, as well as there are no results, when right-clicking on
the desktop, or anything else for that matter, that's the problem!
I'm hoping for the best,

I have not used ME in a few years but I seem to remember it was possible

to
intentionally disable the "right-click on the taskbar and desktop" by

using
a check-box in Start Settings StartMenu Advanced (or something
similiar).

That was one of the first things I checked out, but thanks, nonetheless.

This thing isn't all that old, H, two or three years, maybe?
Shouldn't it last longer?
Why couldn't it have been something else, considering the way it happened?
I just needed that 'BIG sign' and I got it. H.

How'n the world did you get this idea?
Far be it from me, to the contrary, but to my understanding it was concluded
for the mouse to have to be replaced, if I wanted the right click.
In no way did I want to come on in the way you describe, my apologies,
please.
My left button is set and grayed out, meaning no transposition, or?
There were so many things to consider, that I felt relieved when Heirloom
came up with the keyboard test. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Harry.

Age is of no consequence, Harry, it is how hard and often you use it.
Anyway, it was probably something to do with the uninstall of Adaware (and
the poor quality control in China).
Heirloom, old and now is no time to muck with
results

Mart

Thanks for trying to help out here.
Trouble is Harry is so devious, he seems to be
able to invent any kind of nonsense, just to
wriggle out of his predicaments.

Mart:

Firstly I hope this post will show and secondly, after seeing my HiTech Guy
(only possible Wednesdays) he determined the right click was 'stuck' and
could be released by pulling, but it would continue to become stuck and so I
got a replacement.
When back home I tried the following on my own with my old mouse:
Activating right click and press 'Shift' on the keyboard will make the
button work.
What more can I ask for?
Thanks so much for everyone's input.
Now this "Nut" has invaded all of us here, hope something can be done about
this.

Harry.
