10038: socket operation on non-socket

HI,

I hope someone can help me with this one.
I have installed wireless-B PCI adapter on my second
computer with OS windows 98. Everytime I try to connect
to internet, Iget the following message:
Wireless-B PCI Adapter WLAN Monitor:
10038: socket operation on non-socket.

and I cannot connect.
What does that mean and what can I do to fix it?

The most likely cause is spyware/adware or potentially a backdoor or virus.
