3Com WAP 2000 Install Problem
Hello,
I think I can post this here? I'm trying to install a 3COom WAP 2000 on my ADSL/Modem router. It come with a utility called "WidMan" to help configure the settings. In the read me file is the following statement: ---------------- Step 2: The installation of the new WIDMan application will require the updating of the following files in their respective directories dependant upon the Windows operating system: Windows 95/98/ME: /Windows/System/w32n50.dll /Windows/System/pcandis3.vxd Locate the files above and rename those files as the installation of the WIDMan application will need to update those files. ---------------- I'm on Win98SE, and I can't rename or even delete them.! I even searched the web looking for the files, no joy. I was thinking I could just swap them whilst in Safe Mode? Any ideas on how can rename? or get the files? I'm desperate to get my network set-up. Many Thanks - David -UK --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.737 / Virus Database: 491 - Release Date: 12-08-04 |
