"Page cannot be displayed" error message
Please help
I am able to log onto the ISP website but lost the ability recently to log onto the ISP SMS and "check my own account" page which requires a logon password. The logons had been fine the past 2 years. The error message is "Cannot find server or DNS Error; the page cannot be displayed") However, I am able to do so on another PC with the same logon at the same ISP. Also, the ISP helpdesk can log onto the required pages via my account & password logon. I have checked my PC's Internet connection and security settings. Are there any recommended settings I should be following? I have also tried with the Firewall disabled but still no success. Is there a way for me to return my PC to its system settings/condition at a previous date say 2 weeks prior to the fault appearing? My PC's System Configuration Summary: Operating System Windows 98 SE (4.10.1034.2222) Component versions msn6.exe 6.00.0009.1102 msnmetal.dll 6.00.0009.1102 msnmtllc.dll 6.00.0009.1102 logonmgr.dll 6.00.0009.1102 msdbx.dll 6.00.0009.1102 msmom.dll 6.00.0009.1102 sqdll.dll 9.2000.0803.0001 update.exe 6.00.0009.1102 shdocvw.dll 6.00.2800.1106 qmgr.dll 5.04.1103.0003 dw.exe 10.00.1617.0001 dwintl.dll 10.00.1617.0001 Windows Media Player 7.01.0000.3055 MSN Messenger 4.06.0000.0083 Macromedia Flash 6.00.0079.0000 Network drivers Dial-Up Adapter pppmac.vxd (4.10.0000.2222) Dial-Up Adapter pppmac.vxd (4.10.0000.2222) Microsoft Virtual Private Networking Adapter netpptp.sys (4.10.0000.2222) Microsoft PPP over ATM Adapter PPPATM.sys (4.10.0000.2222) Thank you, |
