Check for Spyware. Look into Add/Remove programs to see if there is a
"hardcore" program present. Remove it by Add/Remove if it does exist. Get a few spyware cleaning applications such as Spybot S&D, CWShredder, and Ad-Aware to deal with these malicious and undesired freeloaders. CWShredder http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ Spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download Spybot Tutorial (Must Read) http://tomcoyote.com/SPYBOT/index1.php http://tomcoyote.com/SPYBOT/index2.php These are freeware programs (but donations to the Authors are accepted). Install, Read the Help Files, UPDATE these programs Immediately after installing them, and run them individually, one-by-one. With Ad-Aware you can pretty much have it clean, and fix whatever it may detect. The same for CWShredder. With Spybot S&D ONLY clean items which are displayed in RED. Do NOT clean any Black or Green entries which may appear. As a last resort HijackThis will fix most of these sorts of vermin. However, it is a very powerful program and will require help (as can Spybot S&D when you are trying to fix black or green entries) to safely determine the good from the bad. DO NOT install or run it unless the former programs and suggestions fail to remedy your problem. Then if you must use HijackThis, get help from SpywareInfo Forums or other help forums to identify that which is safe to remove.
