Default orientation of menu bar

My friend has Microsoft 98 and her start menu is now
vertical. She does not know how she got it this way but
she wants to make it horizontal again. Have any ideas on
how to fix it? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Tell her to grab the Taskbar (menu bar) by a blank spot with her
pointer and drag it to the bottom and let go.
The Taskbar can sit on any side of the screen.
