Default Work Offline Dialog Box

Greetings,
Win98SE , after boot a "Can't connect to Internet Dialog
Box" appears. Options are to "Work Offline or Try Again".
Doesn't matter which option is picked the dialog box keeps
reappearing. Any experience with this? Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

Default Work Offline Dialog Box

Hi and thx for the reply, but it didn't resolve the issue.
The message pops up without IE being accessed. The PC had
several Trojan viruses, applications had been improperly
removed (control panel, add remove programs, pick the
program and get error like unable to locate uninstall) had
several of these. Registry a total mess. Computer will not
shutdown (Sits at "Windows is Shutting Down" screen. Power
PC off then Windows won't load! Power on again and then
you get the "Windows failed to load on previous attempt."
I don't have a lot of time to spend on this thing, so I
think the best fix for this guy is "Fdisk and Format"!
Thank you again for your response!
