Follow the steps for possible solution:

Files Located in: C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel

Step 1: Locate the file Excel.xlb or excel10.xlb

Step 2: Rename the file to Excel.old or Excel10.old

Step 3: Remove the Excel.xlb and Excel10.xlb

Step 4: Remove Startup files from XLSTART

Step 5: Reinstall Excel from CDROM use the Reinstall Excel option or Office XP

Step 6: Restart the operating system it should work.

Good Luck!
