Laptop and external mouse
Older Thinkpad that I also have a PS2 style true blue MS scroll wheel mouse
attached. Damned if I can find a driver for the mouse that works properly in that it detects the scroll wheel for scrolling. Seems very odd as the scroll wheel button can be assigned. Running 98SE. |

Is this a question, a riddle, or are you just demented? ??? Thought it pretty clear. Would like the scroll wheel to be detected and work on an external Microsoft Wheel Mouse attached via the PS2 port to a laptop and also still have the laptops built-in mouse enabled. Using Microsoft's Intellimouse driver which even had a mouse style slection screen enabled the scroll wheels button (e.g. button 3) but didn't "see" the scroll wheel itself. -- The only cure for stupidity is death. Laptop and external mouse
Brand named, labeled, Microsoft PS2/Serial Wheel Mouseas using PS2
connection (basic mouse with two buttons and the scroll wheel which also is a button). Running 98SE on a Thinkpad (Celeron 500) laptop. Tried basic Intellimouse software came with mouse and as well tried Logitech's later driver. In both cases only device seen is one "PS2 style" mouse rather than the expected two mice, e.g. laptops internal mouse and the external mouse. Hence wondering if there's not some low level hardware fudging going on? "Brian A." gonefish'n@afarawaylake wrote in message ... Ignore the assh9ole. Really, he's a ignorant, mean old man with no redeeming
